The Russian Defense Ministry has announced the wounding of four Russian journalists and 5 Russian soldiers in the explosion of a mine in a neighbourhood of Deir Ezzor city.
As some representatives of the Russian media were doing their job in a neighbourhood of Deir Ezzor city a remote-controlled mine exploded, according to the website of Russia Today.
The names of the wounded journalists are ‘Ilya Oshnin’ (a IN TV staff member), Timor Furnow ( IN TV), Qustantin Khuldyov and Demitri Stardubski (ZVIDZA TV).
The ministry added that the 5 soldiers were wounded as they were trying to dismantle some landmines in the area, adding that the wounded were transported to the Russian air base ‘Humeimi’ where they are receiving medical treatment.
