The Russian and Assad aircraft carried out a massacre yesterday in the city of Deir Ezzor, killing at least seven civilians and wounding dozens of others.
A local source indicated to D24 that, ‘the aircraft launched two missiles against the Humeidiyah neighbourhood of the city of Deir Ezzor, leading to the death of seven civilians, including two children, and wounding several others.’, and added that, ‘the death toll might increase because many civilians remain trapped under the rubble of some collapsed buildings in the neighbourhood, amidst the total lack of medical and rescue equipment and staff, as well as the destruction of most hospitals in the city.’
A D24 correspondent indicated that ‘Assad’s forces and allied militias have advanced into the neighborhood and reached the Khadijah Kubra school following their capturing of the main street, which consists of the automatic oven, the water institution and the Directorate of Social Affairs and Employment.’
The Humeidiyah neighborhood is the biggest neighborhood in Deir Ezzor city and is home to the largest part of its residents, it was also the first neighborhood that the FSA captured from the Assad regime in the year of 2013.
