The General Electricity Company in Deir Ezzor, in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), restored electricity to Al-Hamidiyah and Khasarat neighborhoods, after an interruption that lasted about nine years.
This step came through the implementation of a service project that included the installation of a 5,500-meter low-voltage grid, with the aim of improving the reality of electrical supply and meeting the needs of residents in the area.
The project is expected to help ease the burden on residents, especially in light of the difficult living conditions, in addition to encouraging residents to return to their homes after years of displacement.
The project also enhances stability in the area and contributes to improving the level of basic services, as part of broader efforts to rehabilitate infrastructure in Deir Ezzor.
This step comes as part of a series of projects aimed at supporting vital sectors and improving the status of services in the affected areas.
