The United Nations Development Program (UNDP), in cooperation with Deir Ezzor industrial City Directorate, conducted a field visit to the industrial city to review its current condition and the most prominent challenges facing the production and investment process there.
The visit included a field tour during which the program kdelegation learned about the infrastructure of the industrial city, the level of damage it has sustained over the past years, in addition to the basic needs necessary to support the recovery phase and reactivate industrial activity.
During the visit, the plans of the Ministry of Economy and Industry were discussed, in cooperation with the Industrial City Directorate and Deir Ezzor Governorate, related to the economic recovery process, ways to support industrial investment and provide a suitable environment for the return of establishments to work.
This visit aims to enhance joint work opportunities between the United Nations Development Program and local authorities, and lay the foundations for future cooperation that contributes to supporting and developing the industrial sector in the governorate, which will reflect positively on the economic reality and job opportunities for the people of the region.
