A delegation from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) arrived at Deir Ezzor Airport, accompanied by a team from the Assistance Coordination Unit, according to activists.
Our correspondent said that the delegation’s arrival is part of a needs assessment at Deir Ezzor Airport to begin rehabilitating the airport building, which will include lounges, offices, control rooms, and other facilities within the airport complex.
Maintenance and restoration work are expected to last a month, and the airport is expected to resume operations by May 15, 2025, at the latest.
