The General Corporation for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Deir Ezzor, in cooperation with UNICEF, began implementing a project to rehabilitate the sewage network on Al-Takaya Street, with the aim of improving infrastructure and enhancing services provided to residents in the city.

The project includes the implementation of main sewage lines within several paths, starting from the plantation garden towards the Shawakh area, with a length of 260 meters and a diameter of 80 cm, in addition to another line from the Shawakh area towards Ghassan Abboud Roundabout, with a length of 200 meters and a diameter of 50 cm.

The project also includes a third track extending from Ghassan Abboud Roundabout towards the Industrial Roundabout, with a length of up to 550 meters and a diameter of 80 cm, within two separate tracks, as part of an integrated plan to rehabilitate damaged networks within the city.

It is expected that about 100,000 people will benefit from the project, and the work will be completed within a period of three months, which will contribute to reducing environmental and health problems, improving the service reality, and ensuring the sustainability of sanitation services in Deir Ezzor.
