Rehabilitation of Tal Abyad Reserve Bakery to enhance bread production and meet the needs of the people

Rehabilitation work has begun on the Tal Abyad Reserve Bakery in Tal Abyad, in cooperation between the General Organization for Bakeries and the World Food Organization (WFP). The goal is to increase bread production and enhance the capacity to meet the needs of the region’s residents.

As part of following up on the progress of work, the Director of the Bakeries Branch in Raqqa, Engineer Hussein Al-Muhammad, conducted a field tour accompanied by the Materials Department, to review the rehabilitation work and implementation stages, stressing the importance of accelerating the completion of the work within the specified time period of 90 days, in preparation for putting the bakery into service as soon as possible.

The bakery’s production capacity is 16 tons of ration flour per day, through two production lines, which, after entering service, will contribute to enhancing bread production and meeting the needs of the people in the area.
