Dozens of Raqqa residents have collected in-kind and material donations for those affected by floods and torrents in Idlib Governorate, especially camp residents, in a humanitarian initiative that reflects the spirit of solidarity and social cohesion.
The donations included blankets, food supplies and home furniture, which were collected in a number of mosques in the city of Raqqa and its countryside, before being collected and transported by trucks to the Al-Furosiya area near thed city, in preparation for sending them as part of a relief convoy to northern Syria.
One of the donors confirmed that the residents placed the donations in mosques to facilitate their collection and organization, and then they were transported voluntarily to the collection point in the Al-Furosiya area, before setting off towards Idlib Governorate.
This evening, donation convoys set off from the vicinity of the city of Raqqa after completing the collection process, heading to Idlib, as part of popular volunteer efforts to support the affected people and alleviate their suffering as a result of the difficult humanitarian conditions.
