Tabqa City Council, in cooperation with the area’s administration, began rehabilitation work in Tabqa camp, west of Raqqa Governorate, in preparation for receiving about 500 families affected by floods in northern Syria.
The director of Tabqa district , Mahmoud Al-Sheikh, confirmed that the council and the area’s administration are working in coordination with volunteer teams to secure all the basic needs of families coming from the affected northern camps.
The preparation work included rehabilitating the camp’s infrastructure and ensuring its readiness, including heating, sewage networks, and water networks, to ensure a safe and suitable environment for the arrivals.
Tabqa City Council called on all humanitarian organizations to intervene immediately and urgently to support the affected families and secure their basic needs at this current stage.
