A new river crossing was opened linking the Assad regime-controlled areas with the SDF-controlled areas in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, according to a DeirEzzor24 network reporter.
Our reorter said that the new crossing connects the town of Muhaimida with the Ayyash station and is called the (Sheikh Abu Hanan) crossing.
It is noteworthy that the river crossings caused the death of dozens of people in Deir ez-Zor governorate as a result of the conflict over transportation and smuggling operations, while the SDF opposes the opening of the Salhiya land crossing, which is safe between the two parties and is far from private property that sparks discord between the clans.
