American warplanes conducted air strikes against an Iranian arms shipment coming from Iraq, as it entered Syrian territory, through the Al-Qaim crossing in the Al-Bukamal countryside, east of Deir Ezzor, according to a local reporter of the DeirEzzor24 network.
According to the reporter, the air strikes resulted in the death of 3 drivers, the injury of another, and the destruction of 4 trucks loaded with weapons. He added that the Iranian militias quickly cut off communications from the area, closed the roads leading to the target site, and set up an intense security cordon around the burning trucks.
Iran has tried, during the past few days, to bring trucks loaded with weapons from Iraq to Syria, under the guise of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
