The coalition carried out several airstrikes against positions belonging to Assad’s forces and allied militias in eastern Deir Ezzor on Monday. The strikes hit positions in the vicinity of Al Salhiyah town at the northern entrance to Deir Ezzor city.
In other news, sporadic clashes broke out between Assad’s forces and SDF on multiple fronts in Deir Ezzour, which coincided with the arrival of massive reinforcements to the Russian and regime forces in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. The clashes were renewed in the village of Khisham in eastern Deir Ezzour during which the coalition targeted positions of Assad’s forces, without any information about the amount of casualties inflicted upon them. Clashes with light weapons erupted also in the factories area and the outskirts of Al Husseiniyah town in the northern countryside.
This is not the first time the coalition target Assad’s forces in the region, as it already hit a convoy of regime forces in the Tabiyah Jazzeera area, inflicting dozens of casualties.
The Russian foreign ministry confessed recently that two Russian citizens were killed in rural Deir Ezzor as a result of a series of airstrikes by the coalition.
