Nidal al-Hammadi, from Hatlah town north of Deir Ezzor city, is an active member of hezbollah militia. In addition to his military duties, he promotes the Iranian militias, attracts young people to volunteer in these militias, and spreads Shiism.
“Al-Hammadi” leads a group affiliated with Hezbollah, and has a son who was killed while fighting with the militia a few years ago. He has also been known for being linked to a group of drug and hashish dealers in the town and the region in general.
Al-Hammadi has a long history with the Iranians and the spread of Shi’ism, where he succeeded his father “Omar al-Hammadi”, who worked hardly to spread Shiism not only in Deir Ezzor, but also in all over the eastern region. He embraced the Shiite faith in the 1980s while being in the compulsory service in Daraa city, then he moved to Qardaha and from there he began his journey in moving Shiism to Deir Ezzor.
