DeirEzzor24 exclusive report
A DeirEzzor24 network reporter said that the Fourth Division checkpoints in the city of Al-Mayadeen, east of Deir Ezzor, impose new taxes on cars and trucks.
He added that the elements of these checkpoints deliberately delay the entry of trucks loaded with food supplies into the city, which leads to most of them spoiling.
He confirmed that food truck drivers accuse the checkpoints of deliberately delaying them, and of delaying in giving approval for the trucks to enter the squares, in order to blackmail them and obtain high royalties from them, which forces them to pay not only in order to cross, but also to avoid malicious charges that may be fabricated against them.
Al-Mayadeen markets have recently witnessed a stagnation in buying and selling activity, as a result of the royalties imposed by division barriers on commercial goods.
