Today, Wednesday, the Health Directorate in Deir Ezzor held an extensive meeting with representatives of a number of international organizations to discuss the real status of existing and proposed health projects, and ways to support and develop them within the governorate.

The meeting included representatives of Doctors Without Borders (MSF), Action for Humanity (Action for Humanity), and the Syria Reconstruction Trust Fund (SRTF), where the most prominent challenges facing the health sector and the needs of medical facilities at the current stage were reviewed.

Participants discussed mechanisms to enhance services in health centers and hospitals, in addition to developing support programs to ensure improved quality of health care and expanded access to it, especially in the areas most in need.

The importance of setting work priorities during the coming period was also emphasized, which will contribute to ensuring that medical services reach a wider segment of citizens, in light of the current circumstances that require intensified efforts and coordination between the relevant authorities.

This meeting comes within the framework of the Health Directorate’s intention to enhance cooperation with international organizations and expand partnerships in a way that supports the stability of the health sector and raises the level of services provided to the people in Deir Ezzor Governorate.
