Yesterday evening, a number of military vehicles (pick-ups) belonging to the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Militia, loaded with members and weapons, entered the gate of the Military Mobilization Militia in the Albukamal countryside, east of Deir Ezzor, according to the correspondent of DeirEzzor24 Network.
According to a private source for DeirEzzor24 Network, this force entered under the pretext of supporting Assad’s forces and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard militia, against the upcoming attack of the international coalition and SDF on the border strip.
The source added that the reinforcements settled in the Muayzilah area on the outskirts of the city of Albukamal, within the points of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard militia.
Assad’s forces and Iranian militias in Deir Ezzor have been on alert for several days, after rumors spread about an imminent attack by the international coalition and SDF on their positions in Deir Ezzor.
