Sources revealed to Deir Ezzor 24 network that leaders of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Militia have met with the elders of Al-Mayadeen city in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside for the second time in less than a month.
The sources told Deir Ezzor 24 network that the meeting lasted for two hours, during which the elders were asked to prepare themselves for a meeting with official Iranian leaders in the capital Damascus.
The sources noted that the elders will go to Damascus after about a week to meet with Iranian official figures, but Deir Ezzor 24 could not know the names of the Iranian figures.
The sources added that during the meeting the elders were asked once again to attract the young people who live outside the areas controlled by Assad regime and urged them to return under Iranian guarantees.
The sources indicated that the next meeting in Damascus, will likely address the situation in the region, and discuss ways to increase the popularity of Iran in the east of Deir Ezzor and strengthen its economic role in the region.
The elders will be accompanied by local leaders of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, and two persons from the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, representing the so-called political office of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
