A project of a large modern irrigation channel is about to enter into service in the northern Deir Ezzor countryside.
The channel is in the city of al-Suwar, northern Deir Ezzor. The channel will serve 450,000 people and cover 250 km of agricultural lands in the area.
The Deir Ezzor 24 knew that on Saturday, October 3, 2020, the channel was tested in the attendance of engineers and technicians. The test succeeded.
The International Coalition and the United States (US) Department of the State directly supervise this project and others in the eastern Deir Ezzor, East of the Euphrates. Earlier, the US Department of the State announced providing job opportunities for young men in the area by establishing developmental projects to serve the area and limit Daesh risk.
