DeirEzzor24 network has monitored a new phenomenon in Deir Ezzor, represented by placing a type of drug called “hashish” in hookahs in some cafes and cafeterias in Deir Ezzor.
The correspondent of DeirEzzor24 network said that the “Zahrat Al-Furat” cafe in the Al-Kasr neighborhood in Deir Ezzor city tops the list of places where hashish is smoked and alcoholic drinks are served.
He added that the café is frequented by officers from the Assad forces and security branches, and members of the various militias in Deir Ezzor.
The spread of Deir Ezzor province has witnessed, for more than sixty years, a significant increase in drug trafficking of all kinds, due to militias such as Hezbollah and Fatemiyoun being behind the promotion operations, and their use as a form of control over the elements.
