Thousands of Deir Ezzor prisoners are held in the Assad regime jails, and their fate is still unknown because of the Assad regime’s blackout on the detainee’s file.
Access to news of detainees in the Assad’s jails is restricted to those who are released, accordingly they considered to be reborn again, as the people entering those prisons considered to be lost and the ones coming out are born again.
The young man Mua’awiyah Ahmad Muheisin Al-Haji from Muhassan city in Deir Ezzor, a former detainee of the Assad regime, was arrested on 28 \ 1 \ 2014, and released about five months ago. After he left the areas controlled by the Assad forces and arrived to safety, he published some of the names of the detainees from Deir Ezzor whom he met in the prisons and detention centers of the Assad regime during the period of his arrest, including those who were killed soon or later after he saw them, and those who were disappeared after being transferred to another prison.
Some of the names of the detainees, that were published by Mua’awiyah after he was released, are:
1- Alaa Muwa’gel from Deir Ezzor, Kanamat neighborhood, transferred from the Branch 291 to Saydnaya Prison
2-Adel Al-Othman Deir Ezzor, Al-Jourah neighborhood, transferred from the Branch 291 to Saydnaya Prison
3-Moayad Al-Dhilli, Deir Ezzor, Al-Jourah neighborhood, transferred from the Branch 291 to Saydnaya Prison.
5-Baher Al-Wace, lecturer at the Faculty of Arts, Deir Ezzor, transferred to Palestine Branch.
6- Ahmed Ismail Al-Ashram, Deir Ezzor, Al-Jbaila neighborhood, transferred from the Branch 291 to Saydnaya Prison.
7- Obiyda Al-Othman, Deir Ezzor, Al-Jourah neighborhood, transferred from the Branch 291 to Sadnaya Prison
8- Muhammed Hussein Al-Rajab, Deir Ezzor, Al-Hamidiyah neighborhood, transferred from the Branch 291 to Saydnaya Prison.
9-Attaf Al-Hazza’a, Deir Ezzor, Al-Hamidiyah neighborhood, died in the branch 291
10-Yasser Al-Kharfaan, Deir Ezzor, Al-Jourah neighborhood, died in the Branch 291
11- Ouaiyed, I don’t know the surname, Deir Ezzor, Al-Jourah neighborhood, transferred from the Branch 291 to Saydnaya Prison
12- Anas Muhammad Al-Amin, Deir Ezzor, Al-Jbaila neighborhood, Masaken Al-Hizb, transferred from the Branch 291 to Saydnaya Prison
13- Ahmad shaabo, Deir Ezzor, Al-Mowaddafin, transferred from the Branch 192 to Saydnaya Prison
14- A young man, had a hairdressing salon, from Deir Ezzor, Al-Qusour neighborhood, 39 years old, A sports teacher, died in the Branch 291
