This morning, Saturday, clashes broke out between the SDF and the Assad’s forces near Al-Quriyah city in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.
D24 network correspondent indicated that the clashes involved the use of heavy weapons, and have been going on for three days, without reports of casualties.
The correspondent said that the SDF were positioned in Al-Shanan village on the eastern bank of the Euphrates river, while the Assad’s forces were on the western bank of the river.
And the correspondent noted that a state of fear prevailed in Al-Shanan village, while the reason behind the clashes between the SDF and the Assad’s forces was unknown.
It is indicated that the SDF have clashed with the Assad’s forces more than once in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, and that resulted in dead and wounded on both sides that time.
