The Anti-Narcotics Branch in Deir Ezzor, in cooperation with the Criminal Investigation Branch, arrested a person involved in drug trafficking and distribution in the Al-Bukamal area east of Deir Ezzor, according to the Ministry of Interior.
The Ministry said in a statement that during the operation, 130 bags of hashish were confiscated, in addition to a quantity of narcotic pills, personal weapons, and sums of money.
The competent authorities are continuing their investigations to pursue the remaining suspects and bring them to justice, as part of ongoing efforts to combat the spread of drugs and protect society from their dangers.
