The residents of Deir Ezzor city demanded, through the DeirEzzor24 network, the competent authorities and the municipality to start cleaning and isolating the Euphrates River before the arrival of spring and summer and the spread of insects.
Our correspondent said that the Euphrates River, starting from Al-Joura Bridge and reaching the Taleela Café on the Corniche Street, suffers from neglect due to the cessation of the isolating and cleaning operations for years, which led to the accumulation of food scraps, algae and dirt that leads to the attraction of insects during the coming period.
The residents demanded that the municipality expedite a comprehensive cleaning campaign targeting this area, which is considered inhabited by residents, before the arrival of spring and summer, and the spread of toxic insects and odors emanating from the river.
The Corniche Road, starting from Al-Joura Bridge and reaching the Taleela Café Bridge, witnessed a cleaning operation by young men and women from the residents of the area, in cooperation with the Civil Defense, and included only the cleaning of the asphalt without approaching the river.
