Medical sources in Abu Hamam hospital in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside told Deir Ezzor 24 network that suspected Covid 19 cases have increased among civilians as high temperature and cold symptoms increased amid the collapse of health sector and its inability to combat the pandemic outbreak in the region.
The source confirmed that at least one member of each family is infected, which may lead to a humanitarian crisis, and that was met with poor response by organizations and the Autonomous Administration.
The medical representative in Abu Hamam hospital appealed to the concerned authorities to provide medicine and Covid 19 control supplies to reduce the pandemic spread in the region, as health centres lack specialized medical staffs, medical supplies and medicines.
