The city of Maadan, situatetd on the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, is experiencing the return of dozens of displaced families, leading to a revival of commercial activity in the city that extends into the late hours of the night, according to a reporter from DeirEzzor24 network.
Our reporter stated that dozens of shops and restaurants have opened in the city’s market, many of which operate around the clock, marking a new phase for Maadan in western Deir Ezzor.
These businesses, including shops, rest stops, and restaurants, belong to families who have returned after years of displacement in northern Syria and, in some cases, from Turkey, after the collapse of the former regime.
Abdullah Al-Shadeed, a resident of Maadan, confirmed that the city’s market has come back to life with the opening of many large commercial establishments that were absent during the period of the regime’s control and the displacement of most of its population.
It should bé noted that most shops now remain open until late at night due to the population density and the city’s strategic location on the road connecting Aleppo, Raqqa, and Deir Ezzor.
