On Saturday, June 27, Syrian Civil Defense teams from the Emergency and Disaster Management Directorate in Deir Ezzor Governorate responded to eight fires that broke out in different areas of the governorate. They were able to extinguish them and cool their locations, which prevented the fire from spreading to wider areas, while the damage was limited to material losses without recording any injuries.
The fires included agricultural land in Al-Hussan village, and another in Al-Hawaij village, in addition to two forest fires in Al-Corniche Street and the Rural Development Area in Al-Mayadeen city, a fire in harvested agricultural land in Al-Majawda village, a waste fire in Al-Nawfitiya Street in Al-Bukamal city, in addition to a fire in an abandoned house near Al-Sa’a roundabout, and another in a waste dump next to Al-Hal Market.
Civil Defense teams confirmed that they had completed extinguishing and cooling operations in all locations, calling on residents to immediately report any fire and follow safety procedures to reduce the risk of fires, especially with the rise in temperatures during the summer.
