A reporter of the DeirEzzor24 network Network has said that the main power station in the city of Al-Mayadeen, east of Deir Ezzor, was ransacked during the past years, and as a result, a part of the station was knocked out of commission.
Our reporter added that two electrical transformers with a capacity of 30 megawatts, and 20 kV circuit breakers were stolen, in addition to the networks, electrical wires, and high-voltage power supplying the station from the TIM line, which were stolen by elements of the Assad forces in coordination with staff of the station..
Engineer “Yasser Al-Khalaf Al-Abdullah”, a worker at the station, said that they have begun working on identifying the number of malfunctions in the main station,and working on rehabilitating the infrastructure of the building in the station building where the electricity workers are located.
The city of Al-Mayadeen is experiencing a severe weakness in the electricity supply to residential neighborhoods, as the hours of connection do not exceed 4 hours at best, compared to 20 hours of disconnection.
