Deir Ezzor 24 network learned from informed sources that Assad’s forces recruited most of the young men who conducted the settlement process from SDF areas, especially those wanted for compulsory and reserve service, to work for them as security cells, and considered them soldiers affiliated with the security branches.
The recruits were assigned to work according to the areas in which they reside and their conditions, such as raising problems, organizing anti-SDF protests, inciting the expulsion of the coalition, and demanding the entry of Assad’s forces into the area and raising their flags in public facilities, in addition to coordinating smuggling operations at the crossings.
According to the sources, the actions entrusted to the cells recruited by the Assad regime may amount to carrying out assassinations targeting military or clan figures, with the aim of destabilizing security and stability in the region.
