Local sources told Deir Ezzor 24 network that not long ago, Assad regime began changing the shapes of all the roundabouts in Deir Ezzor province.

According to the sources, the Assad regime began changing the shape of al-Midelji roundabout in Deir Ezzor city after it returned the rehabilitated statue of Hafez al-Assad to “al-Sabea Bahrat” roundabout in Deir Ezzor city. Then it changed the shape of two roundabouts in Al-Bukamal city, the last of which was the globe roundabout in Al-Joura neighborhood which was changed into unknown a strange shape.

It is noteworthy that Assad’s forces have been controlling Deir Ezzor’s areas west of the Euphrates (Al-Shamiyah region) since 2017.
