An IED targets a patrol of the SDF in Al-Hawayej east of Deir Ezzor

This morning, Sunday, an IED exploded in a military vehicle of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Al-Hawayej village in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.

According to Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent, the device targeted the military patrol, on the river road in Al-Hawayej village east of Deir Ezzor.

The correspondent noted that the bombing did not result in any casualties among the Syrian democratic forces elements, and that they -the SDF- have deployed elements at the site of the bombing.

It is indicated that the SDF have been in control of Al-Hawayej area in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside for more than two years.

It is noteworthy that the international coalition has carried out a number of landing operations in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, especially in the areas near the Euphrates river.
