The construction work of the new bridge, which is scheduled to link the western neighborhood of Al-Hawiqa and the town of Al-Husseiniya, has reached advanced stages of completion, with funding and supervision from Iran and Russia, to replace the Iranian river barge between the Al-Seyassah and the Mualaq bridges, with a capacity of 80 tons.
The length of the bridge is 220 meters along the Euphrates River, and its width is 6 meters. It is based on two stages. The first is 50 meters long on each side. The length of the middle stage is 120 meters on a metal floating bridge provided by the Syrian Engineering Brigade and implemented by the General Company for Roads and Bridges.
