DeirEzzor24 exclusive report
A number of closed cars containing smuggled tobacco in large quantities entered the city of Albukamal from Iraq yesterday, according to a DeirEzzor24 network local reporter.
Our reporter said that the shipment belonged to one of the Al-Bukamal merchants, nicknamed “Abu Ali Al-Hamada,” and was entered with the facilitation of a leader in the Hezbollah militia called “Haj Ahmed,” a leader in the Hezbollah militia of Iraqi origin. He was entered in exchange for a sum of money that reached 10 million Syrian pounds. Cars from the smuggling crossing were accompanied upon entry by Revolutionary Guard militia patrols to protect them.
It is noteworthy that the majority of Iranian-backed militia leaders in Deir Ezzor are coordinating and affiliated with merchants who work in smuggling between Syria and Iraq.
