The US Central Command issued a statement announcing that the US Army’s Green Village base “Haql Al-Omar” in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside witnessed a missile attack.
According to the statement, three 107 mm rockets targeted the Green Base at 7:05 pm Syrian time yesterday, Sunday, and a fourth missile with launch tubes was found at the launch point, about 5 kilometers away.
He stressed that no US or coalition forces or any equipment were injured, and that the coalition leadership is investigating the incident.
Several explosions were heard in the vicinity of the “Omar Field” base in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, after sunset yesterday, Sunday.
