DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:
Recently, an insect called “Sona” has spread in wheat crops in Deir Ezzor province, according to a local reporter of the DeirEzzor24 network.
According to the reporter, the insect has spread because of high humidity and warm weather, which was followed by demands from farmers to the Directorate of Agriculture in areas controlled by the Assad regime to provide insecticides to protect crops.
The prevention departments in the Agriculture Directorate warned of the failure of this year’s crop if farmers do not take the initiative to spray the agricultural pesticides necessary to eliminate the insect that causes charring in wheat.
It is worth noting that insecticides, especially in areas controlled by the Assad regime in Deir Ezzor province, are known for their ineffectiveness and most of them are adulterated and packaged in replacement containers that have not expired.
