The Russians block the path of Iranian commanders in Deir Ezzor

A private source told the DeirEzzor24 network that, two days ago, the Russian military police prevented Haj Rasoul and Haj Deeb, officials at the Iranian Cultural Center in the city of Deir Ezzor, from entering the town of Hatla, northeast of Deir Ezzor.

The source added that the Russians prevented them because the town is under the control of the Russian Fifth Corps, and is subject to infiltration by members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard militia through the installation of rocket launchers that threaten the coalition’s military bases in the SDF-controlled areas, which is in violation of the American-Russian agreement.

This is the first time that the Russians have prevented Iranian leadership figures from entering their areas of control in Deir Ezzor.
