Groups of the National Defense Militia in Deir Ezzor refused to carry out combing operations in the “Wadi Ali” area in the Boukamal desert, east of Deir Ezzor, according to the correspondent of DeirEzzor24 Network.
He said that the reason for the groups’ refusal is their fear of mines, as the current combing operations are limited to the elements of the western sector (Salihiya al-Bukamal) and the elements of (the local war groups) of the Republican Guard of the Assad forces.
Incidents of mine explosions and attacks by armed men against shepherds have been recorded in the desert of Deir Ezzor during the past few days.
