A dispute occurred last night between members of the National Defense Militia and members of the Military Security at the Sukkariyeh checkpoint at the western entrance to the city of Al-Bukamal, Sherb Deir Ezzor, according to the correspondent of DeirEzzor24 Network.
Because of the confiscation of the checkpoint, several cartons of tobacco (smoke) heading to the city of Deir Ezzor belong to “Imad Muhanna,” one of the most prominent leaders of the National Defense Militia in the region, due to the defense militia’s refusal to demarcate smoke systematically at the checkpoint.
The Fourth Division and the Military Security seek to monopolize the smuggling and trade of tobacco, so they harass the members of the National Defense Militia and its merchants, and confiscate what they carry with them.
