A number of cotton farmers in Deir Ezzor, in areas under the control of the Assad regime, resorted to selling cotton-grown lands to livestock owners, according to the correspondent of DeirEzzor24 network.
Our correspondent said that livestock owners release their sheep in these crops for grazing, where the price of a dunum ranges between 50 and 100 thousand Syrian pounds.
The cotton crop in Deir Ezzor for this season was described as a failure, for reasons related to the lack of fertilizers and insect infestations that the pesticides available in the market did not succeed in resisting.
