The child ‘Sumr Samir Al-Rawi’ from Al-Bukamal in Deir Ezzor province managed to wonderfully master the German language in a short period, which encouraged Angela Merkel to meet and honor him for his amazing achievement.

The child is studying in the fifth class in German schools. He and his family arrived as refugees from Syria after a long tough journey from Turkey to Germany.
During the attendance, the German Councilor showed his great admire for the formidable level of the German language the child speaks. Dialogues about the situation of refugees and the province of Deir Ezzor, mainly Al-Bukamal city, were also part of the dialogues.
Angel Merkel wrote about the attendance and said that Syrian refugees can attain what they are striving for, even though the tough and miserable conditions they are going through in their country.
