Last Thursday, Mahmoud al-Tayis held a lunch for the Shiite militias and Assad’s forces in Khsham town in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, according to Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.
Our correspondent said that Nawaf al-Bashir, the leader of al-Baqir Shiite militia, was at the head of the invitees, along with a group of Shiite militia leaders and well-known Shiite figures from Hatlah town.
Mahmoud al-Tayis, from Khsham town, is known for being a merchant and smuggler of oil products. He was providing Daesh with oil, gasoline and diesel, and was smuggling oil into the areas controlled by Assad’s forces in Deir Ezzor.
It is worth mentioning that Mahmoud al-Tayis’s father is imprisoned in one of the security branches in Deir Ezzor.
It is indicated that the Iranian militias spread in Deir Ezzor province (west of the Euphrates), and in the villages of Al-Salhiyah, Marrat, Hatlah, Khsham and Tabiya Jazeera (east of the Euphrates).
