The Ministry of Health of the Syrian Transitional Government launched the “Shifa” campaign in cooperation with the Syrian Gathering in Germany (SGD) and the Independent Doctors Association (IDA) under the slogan “Hand in Hand for Syria.”
The “Shifa” campaign aims to provide free medical and surgical care to the most vulnerable groups in various governorates. More than 100 Syrian expatriate doctors are participating in it.
During the launch of the “Shifa” campaign, Minister of Health Dr. Musab Al-Ali stated that the initiative is a symbol of solidarity and mutual support among the people of one country, both at home and abroad. The participating doctors came to contribute to achieving hope for hundreds of Syrian patients in need of specialized healthcare.
Al-Ali said, “The “Shifa” campaign is not just a medical procedure; it is also a message of hope to the Syrian people, stating that Syrians abroad do not forget their homeland and are always ready to offer a helping hand.”
He added, “Every operation performed here today is a step towards healing, and the patriotic spirit demonstrated by the participating doctors is an exemplary model of solidarity and humanitarian work.”
At the end of his remarks, the Minister affirmed that the Ministry of Health will continue to work to provide all necessary capabilities and facilities and coordinate work with health directorates and all relevant parties to ensure the best results for receiving Syrian and international volunteer medical teams from abroad.
