Local tribal leaders and notables in regime-held areas have held a huge meeting, according to a reporter of DeirEzzor24.

According to our reporter, the meeting was held at the Russian reconciliation center in the town of Hatla, northeast of Deir Ezzor, in the presence of Russian General “Igor Smoly,” Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Forces in Syria, and the head of reconciliation at the Hmeimim base, in addition to General “Andrei,” head of the reconciliation center in Deir Ezzor, and Sheikh Abdullah Al-Shalash and Nawaf Al-Bashir.

The meeting included asking the notables to communicate with their peers in the countryside of Deir Ezzor, east of the Euphrates, and to direct weapons toward the Global Coalition and expel it from the region because it is the sponsor of the SDF and is the one who is looting the country’s wealth.

The Assad regime and the Iranian and Russian militias have been on alert since the outbreak of events in the east of the Euphrates, trying to exploit the event to their advantage.
