The correspondent of DeirEzzor24 Network said that the Secretary of the Baath Party branch in Deir Ezzor, “Raed al-Ghadhban,” ordered the opening of the Hawija al-Mari’iyahroad to the farmers who planted wheat in Hawija.
He said that the reopening of the road came after a series of materials published by the DeirEzzor 24 network about the transgressions of the branch secretary and his relatives in the town of Al-Mari’iyyah and its lands, which have an area of about 2,000 dunums.
The Hawija road was closed since the Assad regime took control of the area, and access to it was restricted to passing through the checkpoints of the town of Al-Jufra, where civilians are subjected to extortion and ill-treatment by the Assad forces’ checkpoints.
