Deir Ezzor 24 network learned from sources that Russian forces in Deir Ezzor are attracting the local members in Iran’s proxy militias to join the ranks of Russian forces.
The sources noted, that the Russians took advantage of the unjustified delay in paying the salaries of the Iranian proxy militias, where a representative of the Russian forces in Deir Ezzor met with a number of those members and made them an offer to join the Russian forces and leave the Iranian militias.
The sources confirmed that the representative said that those who want to leave service with the Iranian militias can join the ranks of the so-called the “self-defense” of the Russian forces, and work at their headquarters in al-Husseiniyah village or at the points of al-Panorama area, and that their daily hours of service will be 5 hours on, 5 hours off during the day, for a monthly salary of 50,000 Syrian pounds.
It is noteworthy that there has been a change in the balance of power in the western Euphrates areas of Deir Ezzor recently, as the Russian forces started to extend their influence in Deir Ezzor at the expense of the Iranian militias.
