The Russian battalion responsible for protecting the military bridge that connects the two banks of the Euphrates River in the town of Al-Muraiya, has temporarily stopped crossing operations from the bridge, according to the correspondent of DeirEzzor24 Network.
He said that the aim of the battalion through this procedure is to increase the length of the floating bridge on both sides, as a result of the rise in the level of the Euphrates River since last night.
The high level came as a result of the increased flow from the Euphrates Dam resulting from the opening of some dams by the Turkish side, following the disaster of the earthquake that struck the area a week ago.
