The intelligence of the Assad regime, along with groups of Iranian militias, struck a security cordon around the town of Hatla, northeast of Deir Ezzor, which is witnessing Shiite celebrations and rituals on the occasion of Ashura commemoration, according to the correspondent of Deir Ezzor24 network.
Our correspondent said that the celebrations this year witnessed an unprecedented turnout, both for official figures from the Assad regime, in attendance from the people of the region, the so-called Iranian pilgrims, Iranian figures coming to Deir Ezzor for the first time, and members of the Iranian militias.
He added that today’s celebrations, which is the tenth day of their launch in Hatla, witnessed Shiite processions in front of the new Husseiniya “Imam Al-Rida Husseiniya”, representative scenes of Hussein’s killing, and other Shiite rituals.
It is worth noting that the intelligence has strictly prohibited filming the celebrations by the public, so as not to reveal the Iranian figures present.
