The General Security Command in Deir Ezzor province issued a statement a short while ago regarding the security operation carried out by the General Security over the past two days in the town of Al-Hari in Al-Bukamal countryside east of Deir Ezzor
The statement read: “As part of the ongoing efforts to protect our society from the scourge of drugs and the spread of illegal weapons, the security authorities in Deir Ezzor province announce the arrest of Hussein al-Ali and his sons, who are involved in criminal activities related to arms and drug trafficking. This arrest follows a precise security operation successfully carried out over the past few days.”
He added that the operation resulted in:
• Seizure of quantities of dangerous narcotics.
• Confiscation of various weapons and ammunition.
• Discovery of a communications network used to facilitate smuggling and concealment operations.
The statement addressed a message to the people of Deir Ezzor, which read:
“We assure you that your security and safety are an uncompromising priority, and that the hand of justice will reach anyone who dares to undermine the safety of citizens or tamper with the stability of society.”
It stressed that the next phase will be more decisive and broader in scope, and that the relevant authorities possess full information, and the names are being closely monitored.
The statement concluded by commending the cooperation of the honorable people of this province, who have been and continue to be a true support in uncovering the crime and defending the security of their community.
