The officers of the Fourth Division in Deir Ezzor continue to blackmail merchants and owners of capital, with the aim of obtaining money, as they raid warehouses and confiscate goods, under penalty of paying the alleged fines.
In the context, a patrol of the Fourth Division raided the Agha warehouses for electrical and sanitary tools, and confiscated a number of batteries, electrical organizations and various tools, on the pretext that they were stolen from the Red Crescent warehouses. The confiscated materials were transferred to the Fourth Division headquarters located in the Helween roundabout.
The practices of the Fourth Division do not stop there, as they deliberately blackmail the people whenever the opportunity arises, imposing sums of money and royalties under the names of taxes and customs at their checkpoints, which raises the resentment of the people and increases their suffering in light of the deteriorating living conditions.
