A DeirEzzor24 network reporter said that the Assad regime arrested the former director of education in Deir Ezzor, Jassim Al-Fraih, pending an investigation in Damascus.
Our reporter added that, at the direction of the Minister of Education and Financial Supervision, “Al-Fraih” was arrested after corruption charges were brought against him, and he was investigated for sums of money exceeding one and a quarter billion Syrian pounds, accompanied by the administration’s accountant, in addition to two people who fled to SDF-controlled areas.
Last week witnessed the dismissal of a number of government department directors on corruption charges, led by Engineer Fouad Abdoun, director of agriculture in Deir Ezzor.
The Minister of Education assigned Heba Diwani to temporarily manage the affairs of the directorate, then canceled the assignment last night.
