It was observed today that a number of members and vehicles belonging to the Russian-backed Quds Brigade militia were deployed in the city of Al-Mayadeen, east of Deir Ezzor, according to a local reporter of DeirEzzor24.
According to the reporter, the militia returned to the city of Al-Mayadeen through its local members in coordination with the Iranian militias, with the aim of sending some of its members to the areas east of the Euphrates under the control of the SDF.
He added that the members reside within the headquarters of the Haidariyah region on the outskirts of the city of Al-Mayadeen, and are fully protected by Iranian militias.
This is the first appearance of the Liwa al-Quds militia, since its departure from all areas under the control of the Assad regime in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor in 2020.
